The Tonlé sap (Khmer: ទន្លេសាប) is a combined lake and river system in Cambodia and includes the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. It is unusual in that its flow changes direction twice a year, and the portion that forms the lake expands and shrinks dramatically with the seasons. Images include excursions to the floating villages of Kampong Chhang and Kampong Luong as well as and stilted village of Kampong Phluk and the nearby market town of Ponley.
